ARTIST STATEMENT

UNTITLED

I have no title. I thought of several, but none of them fitted well.

Selecting judge: Fumio Nanjo

In his previous work, the children's eyes left a deep impression, but this time, the three-dimensional presentation leaves a deep impression. The photos are clear, with a silver screen behind them. The photos are layered in some places, and the close-and-far perspective is a sophisticated twist. As subjects, various persons appear, and I like that the atmospheres of various and the presentation twist conform well. The atmospheres of various lives in the city is sensed. Like the installation, in the portfolio, with the positives projected onto the silver, a yellow finish on the yellow photos, a red finish on the reddish photos, etc., various twists are found throughout, creating an interesting effect. Mainly, people are the subjects, but you can sense an implication. A subtle abnormality and eeriness provide the portrait with dimensions.
