EF500mm f/4L IS II USM

The incorporation of two fluorite lens elements reduces chromatic aberration to achieve high-resolution and high-contrast image quality. This super-telephoto lens features the latest Image Stabilization (IS) mechanism that provides camera-shake blur compensation to an effect equivalent to approximately four steps higher* shutter speed and IS Mode 3, while the lightweight magnesium alloy body allows for the freedom of portable shooting. Also, SWC reduces the occurrence of ghosting. All of these factors greatly enhance this lens' overall performance.

* According to Canon's measurement standard. Based on a shutter speed of “1/focal length” seconds, said to be the limit for hand-held photography without image stabilization.
