EF600mm f/4L IS II USM

Two fluorite lens elements are incorporated to achieve higher image quality. Image Stabilization (IS) has been further improved and now compensates as effectively as the equivalent of approximately four steps higher shutter speed while providing IS Mode 3. This lens also features SWC (which reduces the occurrence of ghosting) and a circular diaphragm aperture. Moreover, a magnesium alloy is generously employed for the body to enhance rigidity and weigh much less — 1,440 grams less — than the previous model.

* According to Canon's measurement standard. Based on a shutter speed of “1/focal length” seconds, said to be the limit for hand-held photography without image stabilization.
