High-specification features including one fluorite optical element and five UD optical elements help this lens reduce chromatic aberration to a higher degree than the conventional lenses, so it delivers high-quality images shot at all shooting distances, throughout the zoom range. The minimum focusing distance is 1.2m/3.9ft and Image Stabilization now compensates as effectively as the equivalent of up to approximately four-steps-faster shutter speed*. The lens' performance is greatly improved thanks to the enhanced durability and rigidity as well as dust- and moisture-proof design, while the lens' weight increase is kept to an absolute minimum.
