The Ministry of Industry launched the Green Industry project to raise the awareness of industrial firms regarding social and environmental issues and to award environmentally friendly industries by focusing on continuous improvement and corporate social responsibility within the organization and throughout the whole supply chain for sustainable development. They certify industrial firms in five levels, from Level 1 to Level 5.

Canon Hi-Tech (Thailand) applied for and was awarded Green Industry Level 5 - Green Network. Canon Hi-Tech (Thailand) demonstrated the network extension throughout a green supply chain by supporting their business partners entering into accredited green industry processes, in addition to establishing an environmental management organization and process internally.

This year a total of eight firms were awarded in Green Industry Level 5, and Canon Hi-Tech (Thailand) is the first firm from the electric and electronic industry to receive the award since the project was launched in 2011.
