Canon is developing activities to support medical institutions. These activities include donating X-ray CT diagnostic equipment for clinical testing of pneumonia, and research on the practical application of a rapid genetic testing system for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

- With a continuing need for at-home testing kits across the States, Canon Virginia (CVI) has joined MaximBio to start assembling ClearDetect COVID-19 Antigen Home Test Kits at CVI's facility in Newport News, Virginia, with production starts in early May, 2022.
