ARTIST STATEMENT

Tangent Point

Wavelength emitted from far beyond the stratosphere. Even now, the earth continues to be indifferently record.
Our world of noise or wonder can be sensed.
In the dark also, a new space telescope is likely distinguish the substance to find a kind of refraction of the glass.
It acts to try to see what you invisible. Something like a glass of the screen. Thin film of such things.
It is slightly reflection transparent as possible. Where an event comes stood up.
What is Between substance and experience, I want to know.

Entries form: Book (A3) with 46 archival pigment prints
42 archival pigment prints (A3 to 508 x 610 mm)

The language the artist is using here is very consistent. These works could function in the style of a documentary of everyday life or natural scenery. There are countless photos of cities and nature, particularly nature. But the artist has provided an invigoratingly fresh take on what are familiar settings. The works are not just critiques; they are extremely open in a way that sets them apart from photographs seen in the past with similar stylings. In my view, this work — although it is ‘Japanese' in the clichéd sense of subtlety, poetic sensibility — i.e., poems in the midst of the ordinary — and although its language is neither new nor radical — deserves to be recognized for holding true to the artist's own voice.
