Grand Prize selection open committee meeting, artists’ talk and special Events; to be held during exhibition period

The 2018 New Cosmos of Photography Tokyo Exhibition will present Excellence Award-winning works by seven artists and Honorable Mention works by 12 artists, who were selected among the 1,992 entrants of the 2018 41st competition. An exhibition of new works by 2017 Grand Prize winners, Trond Ansten and Benjamin Breitkopf, will be held simultaneously.

On Saturday, October 27, the Excellence Award winners and Honorable Mention winners will present their works and the intentions behind their creation during the artists’ talk.
On Friday, November 2, the Grand Prize selection committee will hold a public meeting to select the Grand Prize winner among the seven Excellence Award winners.
On November 3 and 4, a special event will be held featuring a portfolio review session and lectures by this year’ jadges.

1. The 2018 New Cosmos of Photography Tokyo Exhibition

(Open Thursday and Friday until 8 p.m. and closed on Monday)

Admission: Free (anyone may join and listen)
Schedule: Part 1: The 12 Honorable Mention Award winners from 2018 introduce their works and talk about the intentions behind their creations.
Part 2: The seven Excellence Award winners from 2018 and the 2017 Grand Prize winners introduce themselves, present the intentions behind the creation of their works.

3. Grand Prize selection open committee meeting
