Grand Prize selection open committee meeting, artists’ talk and special Events; to be held during exhibition period

The 2019 New Cosmos of Photography Tokyo Exhibition will present Excellence Award-winning works by seven artists and Honorable Mention works by 16 artists, who were selected among the 1,959 entrants of the 2019 42nd competition. An exhibition of new works by 2018 Grand Prize winner, Song-Nian Ang, will be held simultaneously.

On Saturday, October 19, the Excellence Award winners and Honorable Mention winners will present their works and the intentions behind their creation during the artists’ talk. On Friday, November 8, the Grand Prize selection committee will hold a public meeting to select the Grand Prize winner among the seven Excellence Award winners. On November 9 and 10, a special event will be held featuring lectures and a portfolio review session by this year’ jadges.
