As with the E80, The E808 employed a rotating grip with built-in viewfinder to allow users to hold the camcorder securely and the 8x zoom lens that was popular on the VM-E708. In addition, the E808 improved handling with its standard SF-100 sport finder to view the viewfinder image with the eye away from the eyecup, and the wireless remote controller.
