Inheriting the basic features of the E50, the E57 / E90 incorporated a new 10x zoom lens. The 10x zoom lens was a mere 3 mm longer than the 8x zoom lens of the E50 while maintaining nearly the same 210g weight. A video light connecting directly to the accessory shoe was simultaneously released, enabling even beginners to produce high-quality videos.
