Based on the E08 / A10, Canon sought to create a more user-friendly model with a color LCD viewfinder to easily identify and shoot the subject, which was difficult with the traditional black and white viewfinder. The E9 / A11 was Canon’s first model to feature a color LCD viewfinder.
