Inheriting the basic features of the UC-X40Hi, the UC-X50Hi achieved further user friendliness through the use of a battery pack that could be recharged while placed in the camcorder body. It featured diverse video technologies, including a 22x optical zoom lens, a 44x digital zoom and an optical image stabilizer.
