This is the world’s first fisheye zoom lens that captures circular and rectangular images with a 180° angle of view.* Cameras equipped with a full-frame 35 mm image sensor produce both types of images while those with APS-H/C sensors record only rectangular fisheye images but have the added advantage of being able to zoom to ultra wide-angle focal lengths.
Flare and ghost have also been minimized thanks to application of an SWC while a fluorine coating on the front and rear elements makes for remarkably easy cleaning. The dust-proof and drip-proof design delivers outstanding reliability in adverse environments.
* Among interchangeable lenses for SLR cameras.(as of 23 August 2010)
