This is a telephoto zoom lens with a shooting range from portraits to telephoto shots, and boasts a lightweight and compact design, together with excellent operability despite being the brightest lens in its class with an aperture of f/4.0.
Aberrations are compensated for through the active use of new types of glass and the appropriate power distribution of the lens, resulting in excellent image quality on par with a single lens at all focal lengths.
In particular, through the use of a special shape in the front lens group, spherical aberration is compensated for to the maximum extent possible, making this new telephoto zoom lens which enables close focusing of 1m with little variation due to distance and offering high resolution and high contrast definition at all focal lengths.
