The second IX 240 model in the IXY series, the IXY G has a novel and futuristic design and more advanced features such as a 4x zoom lens. The camera front is metallic, and the large lens cover also hosts a built-in flash. Well received on the IXY, the hybrid AF system with five focusing points (Ai-AF) has been retained. The latest high-integration design technology enabled the camera to have a 22.5-90mm zoom lens (equivalent to 28-112mm in the 35mm format) for excellent image quality. Other features include drop-in film loading, automatic parallax correction, and mode settings with icons.
