A special exhibition “Must-See National Treasures and Masterpieces: A Miraculous Collection Realized by High-resolution Facsimiles” was held in Okayama City Museum from September 13 to October 20, 2024. This exhibition showcased 15 high-resolution facsimiles of domestic and international treasures and masterpieces painted by Japanese art masters, including Tawaraya Sotatsu, Ogata Korin, and Katsushika Hokusai.

In the fall of 2023, as maple leaves were just starting to color at Kenninji Temple in Kyoto, bright red maple leaves announced the arrival of the season ahead of the trees. Behind the green maple leaves of Choontei Garden was “Maple leaves on a stream (front); mountain views (reverse)” by Ikeda Koson. The ultramarine river between golden clouds reflects vermilion maple leaves, unfolding a vivid world to the viewers.

From April 26 to May 28, 2023, Canon held the “High-Resolution Facsimiles x Video Experience: National Treasures Come to Fukushima!?,” an exhibition of high-resolution facsimiles of five National Treasures created with the technology of the Tsuzuri Project at the Fukushima City Museum of Photography, jointly with Fukushima City.

An exhibition of 24 high resolution facsimiles created with technologies from the “Tsuzuri Project,” titled “Let’s Enjoy Japanese Paintings – Approaching Japan’s Masterpieces through High-resolution Facsimiles” (hosted by the Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum) was held at the Yonezawa City Uesugi Museum* in Yamagata from Saturday, August 6 to Sunday, September 11.
