Through the Tsuzuri Project, Canon seeks to preserve and pass on the beauty of Japanese culture, ensuring that it captures the hearts of people both now and in the future.

Here we introduce the process of producing high resolution facsimiles that reflect every detail of the original. The production process encompasses capturing all aspects of the original cultural asset down to its subtle textures and the feel of the material, printing that image so that is faithful to the original, and then using traditional craftsmanship to reproduce the details of the original texture.

We provide a range of opportunities for members of the public to view the high resolution facsimiles. These exhibitions and events are aimed at ensuring that as many people as possible get a closer look at Japan’s outstanding art and culture.
