Responding to market trends, Canon developed super-compact, lightweight camcorders with enhanced operability. The E06 / E6 incorporated a rotating grip with built -in viewfinder to prevent camera shake resulting from its lighter weight of 900g. It employed a new rear-focusing 6x zoom lens and stereo microphone to make it more attractive.
