This model was based on the P-8 CINESTAR S, launched in 1965, but with minor changes. A new DC shunt motor with built-in AC converter enabled stable slow rotation, low noise and long continuous-projection time. A pilot lamp was added to enhance projection convenience, and the exterior color was changed from light gray to darker gray.
