This was a sister model of the 1014XL-S, developed at the same time, and both models had the same basic functions. The lens was a new 8x zoom lens starting at the wide angle of 7 mm. It had telephoto macro with focusing by the focusing ring and wide-angle macro with focusing by the zooming ring in the same way as the 1014XL-S. This model did not have a superimposing display in the viewfinder, but rather had a warning display outside the image area. The overlap function applied in the 1014XL-S, was not employed for this model.
