The Canon IXY 400F, the slimmest model in the Canon IXY series with a body thickness measuring only 17.8 mm, features a wide-angle 28 mm* f/2.8 4x zoom lens, an enhanced 2.7-inch PureColor System LCD G monitor, and a high-resolution 14.1-megapixel CCD sensor. In addition, the IXY 400F supports the new Miniature Effect and Fish-eye Effect modes, as well as the Low Light, Smile, Wink Self-Timer and Smart Shuffle modes. The model is compatible with large-capacity SDXC memory cards and features HD video capture at 1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps. The Canon IXY 400F is available in four body color options — orange, pink, black and silver. The optional WP-DC37 waterproof case, designed for the IXY 400F, allows users to enjoy using the camera underwater (depths up to 40 m), at the beach and in the snow. The case is available in gray and lime green.
