Canon requests removal of toner cartridge offered by LYUSD from Amazon.com

TOKYO, May 24, 2021—Canon Inc. today announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by LYUSD for use in HP laser beam printers.

Canon's infringement report alleged that certain model CF218A toner cartridges sold by LYUSD via Amazon.com infringed Canon's U.S. Patent No 8,688,008. Canon requested that Amazon remove LYUSD's listings for those products, namely, LYUSD's listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers ("ASINs") B07W1D5F5J, B086G9S8TN, B086DX98DK, B086DWFDFK, B086DV2FBK, B07VXTJCQC, B086GNKHPL, B086DVNGDL and B07WCPM9JM.

At the time of this announcement, the above-identified LYUSD listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
