Canon requests removal of toner cartridge offered by LXXL from Amazon.com

TOKYO, July 8, 2021—Canon Inc. today announced the filing of an infringement report with Amazon.com seeking the removal of Amazon.com listings for certain toner cartridges sold by LXXL for use in HP laser beam printers.

Canon's infringement report alleged that certain model CF218A toner cartridges sold by LXXL via Amazon.com infringed Canon's U.S. Patent No. 8,688,008. Canon requested that Amazon remove LXXL's listings for those products, namely, LXXL's listings with Amazon Standard Identification Numbers ("ASINs") B08J45HD5L, B08J43YVJD, B08J3WSYLN, B08HD4967J, B08GCHN9WJ, B087GKPLDG and B0876JGVDP.

At the time of this announcement, the above-identified LXXL listings were no longer available on Amazon.com.
