The Energy Conservation Grand Prize Awards recognize outstanding initiatives by companies, municipalities, and educational institutions to promote energy efficiency, as well as products and business models that excel in energy-saving performance. The Satera LBP810 series was designed with environmental considerations in mind throughout the entire product lifecycle, from raw material procurement and manufacturing to distribution, use, maintenance, disposal, and recycling while also delivering high print quality.

The series adopts a newly developed toner that improves transfer efficiency, reduces component operation during printing, and enhances power efficiency in standby mode. This resulted in a 28% reduction in typical electricity consumption (TEC) compared to the previous models2 reaching a level of 0.37 kWh, which is among the highest in the laser printer industry. Furthermore, the printer bodies are approximately 20% smaller,2 and toner cartridge weight is reduced by 27%, significantly reducing the product’s raw material usage. Beyond these improvements in energy and resource efficiency, Canon has also optimized production processes to reduce power consumption, improved transportation efficiency through compact design, and promoted toner cartridge recycling.

Collectively, these efforts have reduced3 CO2 emissions across the entire product lifecycles of Satera LBP810 models by about 28% compared to the earlier models2.

Canon remains committed to developing environmentally conscious products that enhance user convenience, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
