Canon's enforcement of its intellectual property rights leads to the removal of "Theinksupply"-branded cartridges from Lazada Singapore

TOKYO, March 17, 2026—Canon Inc. today announced the results of its complaint filed on the Alibaba Intellectual Property Protection Platform seeking the removal of a certain product listing from the e-commerce platform Lazada in Singapore.

Canon's complaint identified the product listing shown in the table below and alleged that cartridges sold under this listing infringe Canon's Singapore Patent Application No. 2009037326, which was granted on April 13, 2012. Lazada has accepted Canon’s complaint and removed the product listing from its platform.
