Canon and Ross Video announce partnership to deliver broadcast-grade PTZ solutions
TOKYO, April 20, 2026— Canon Inc. and Ross Video today announced a partnership to deliver broadcast-grade PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera solutions for modern live production environments.
Through this collaboration, Canon’s professional PTZ cameras—the Canon CR-N700 and CR-N500—can be deployed alongside Ross Video’s production workflows, robotics, and automation platforms, enabling broadcasters and live production teams to incorporate high-quality PTZ cameras into their workflows.
Canon CR-N700 and CR-N500 PTZ cameras can be operated within Ross workflows and demonstrated alongside Ross production technologies such as DashBoard, OverDrive, Ross Robotics, Vision[Ai]ry, and Quorum.
“By combining Canon’s imaging expertise with Ross Video’s robotics and automation workflows, we’re delivering a broadcast-ready PTZ solution built for modern production environments,” says Gina Witzke, Product Manager, Camera Motion Systems at Ross Video.
For customers, the partnership provides a streamlined approach to deploying PTZ cameras alongside robotics and automation systems, while maintaining the broadcast image quality required for professional production environments.
Canon’s CR-N700 & CR-N500 bring advanced capabilities for high-end broadcast applications, including 4K output, a 1-inch sensor, genlock, NDI® support, optical image stabilization, and FreeD tracking data for AR/VR production. The CR-N700 model also supports 12G-SDI connectivity.
“Canon sees strong potential in working with Ross Video to expand the role of remote camera systems in video production,” says Noriyuki Honda, Deputy Unit Executive of Canon’s Imaging Business Operations. “Bringing together Canon’s strengths in high-performance imaging with Ross Video’s outstanding robotics and automation systems will open up new possibilities. Our focus is on taking video production to a more advanced level, boosting on-set productivity while delivering exceptional image quality.”
Ross Video will demonstrate Canon PTZ cameras operating within Ross production workflows at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 19–22.
