Canon's activities lead to the removal of certain toner cartridge offerings, including Zhuhai Ouguan Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.'s offerings of OGOUGUAN brand cartridges, from European Amazon marketplaces
TOKYO, July 22, 2026—Canon Inc. today announced that it has successfully removed certain toner cartridge offerings from selected European Amazon marketplaces using methods including the Amazon reporting tool, letters of inquiry and notices regarding its intellectual property rights.*
The offerings concern third-party laser printer toner cartridges that Canon believes infringe its European Patent 4,235,315 (EP ’315), which relates to a process cartridge detachably mountable to an image forming apparatus.
Canon has taken legal action against parties offering, among others, the products listed in the table below.

At the time of this announcement, the product offerings listed above were no longer available on at least one of the European Amazon marketplaces corresponding to the countries in which EP ’315 is validated and in force.
