Water Recycling

Canon promotes the recycling of water resources. The Kitsuki Plant of Oita Canon Materials Inc. is located on Beppu Bay, home to precious natural resources and habitats. In consideration of the impact on the ecosystem, the plant employs a closed wastewater system that discharges nothing but rainwater.

Initiatives at Production Sites

At Canon Ecology Industry, wastewater from equipment used in air conditioning and other infrastructure is treated and recycled for reuse in the production process of toner and ink cartridges.

Canon Inc., Taiwan’s production site re-uses the wastewater from the cleaning equipment in the polishing process.
