Canon selected as one of the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2025
Canon has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2025 list, compiled through a collaborative survey by the British Financial Times and the German research company Statista.
The survey comprehensively evaluated about 1,500 companies headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region based on factors such as their reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions relative to revenue from 2018 to 2023, disclosure and transparency of Scope 3 emissions, CDP scores, and SBT certification status. This resulted in the selection of the top 350 companies.
Canon aims to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2050 and is working to reduce GHG emissions in its own business activities and throughout its entire product lifecycle—from raw material and component production by suppliers, to transportation to retailers, product use, disposal, and recycling. Going forward, the company will continue contributing to the decarbonization of society as a whole.
