Canon's activities lead to the removal of 2,224 listings from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands and Turkey

TOKYO, February 7, 2022—Canon Inc. today announced that in the fourth quarter of 2021, it has used the Amazon Reporting Tool^*, letters of inquiry and/or information letters to successfully remove 2,224 listings^** from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands and Turkey. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands and Turkey is 26,306**. The listings offered third-party laser toner cartridges from vendors which Canon believes infringed one or more of European Patent No.2 087 407, European Patent No. 2 137 577 ,European Patent No. 1 977 289, European Patent 3 470 931 and European Patent No.3 270 230.
