TOKYO, December 20, 2019—Canon Inc. announced today that Canon-brand equipment comprised an approximately 62% share of cameras* used by press photographers during the Men and Ladies Free Skating events at the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating® Final 2019/20.

As a sponsor of the 2019/2020 ISU Grand Prix Final, Canon was present at the 2019/2020 ISU Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix Finals in Torino, Italy, to operate a camera service center at the venue and support the professional photographers there to capture the magnificent performances of skaters who have fought their way through fierce competition to reach the finals. A large number of photographers at the event used Canon-brand equipment, and during the Senior Men and Ladies Free Skate events, which attract worldwide attention, Canon-brand equipment comprised an approximately 62% share of cameras used, contributing to successful coverage of the event.
