Canon Inc. has been selected as one of 275 companies for outstanding achievements in climate change efforts in the Asia-Pacific Climate Leaders 2023 study conducted jointly by the UK’s Financial Times and the German research firm Statista. The study determined an overall score for companies headquartered in the Asia-Pacific region, using the extent of GHG emissions reductions (emission intensity with respect to sales), calculated based on data for 2016 to 2021 provided by the companies, along with their CDP scores and SBTi’s official validation.
Canon will continue to reduce CO2 emissions in line with SBTi’s criteria and contribute to the decarbonization of society as a whole.
