TOKYO, July 24, 2023—Canon Inc. today announced that in the second quarter of 2023, it has used the Amazon reporting tool*, letters of inquiry and/or information letters to successfully remove 739 listings** from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium***. Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed from Amazon in Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland and Belgium is 31,855**. The listings offered third-party laser toner cartridges from vendors that Canon believes infringed one or more of European Patent No. 2 087 407, European Patent No. 2 137 577, European Patent No. 1 977 289, European Patent No. 3 470 931 and European Patent No. 3 270 230.

Since June 2018, the total number of listings removed from Amazon in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America is 3,775*.
