EIPA (Emirates Intellectual Property Association) Visits Canon

As a project hosted by the IIPPF (International Intellectual Property Protection Forum), of which Canon is a member, in mid-February UAE government officials involved in the field of IP were invited to Japan to interact with the Japanese government and Japanese companies. On the last day of their stay, a delegation, including the Chairman of the EIPA (Emirates Intellectual Property Association) and other executives who are engaged in enforcement against counterfeiting, visited Canon and exchanged opinions with the Canon IP team on anti-counterfeiting measures in the UAE. Canon conveyed its gratitude for the cooperation thus far, and the attendees discussed further collaboration in cracking down on counterfeits in the market and at the borders. The meeting proceeded in a harmonious atmosphere, and the UAE officials kindly expressed their willingness to support Canon and other Japanese companies in anti-counterfeiting.
