Participation in Discussions with the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI)

As a member of the Global Anti-Counterfeiting Working Group of the Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA), Canon participated in a dialogue with legal representatives from the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AMPPI). AMPPI is a non-profit organization that collaborates with various national institutions to address issues related to intellectual property. During the opinion exchange, a wide range of topics were discussed, including the importance of countermeasures against counterfeit products in light of the USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) amendments and strategies for addressing brand protection issues on e-commerce platforms in the Mexican market.
