Anti-Counterfeit Awareness in China in Conjunction With World Consumer Rights Day

Canon China launched a series of anti-counterfeit awareness campaigns in conjunction with World Consumer Rights Day (March 15).
On March 12, 2026, at a consumer rights protection event hosted by JETRO (Shanghai), involving 12 Japanese companies including Canon, Canon set up an exhibition booth where it explained to general consumers the risks associated with counterfeit products and how to distinguish them from genuine ones. By allowing visitors experience firsthand the differences between genuine and counterfeit products such as camera batteries and ink bottles, Canon promoted the importance of intellectual property protection.
In addition, from March 10 to March 15, Canon China carried out an intensive awareness campaign across multiple communication channels. Educational videos were simultaneously released through 12 official social media accounts, including TikTok, as well as 13 official online stores. At the same time, the videos were shown at official retail stores and service centers, where informational brochures were also distributed. During the campaign period, the awareness videos recorded a total of more than 870,000 views, highlighting strong public interest in the issue of counterfeit products.
